PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus capable of detecting a precursor or an abnormality at an early stage before an RF pulse output system fails completely.SOLUTION: An MRI apparatus 10A includes an ideal control value calculation part 65, a pulse strength acquisition part 66, and a determination part 68. The ideal control value calculation part 65 calculates each ideal control value of the strength of a plurality of RF pulses to be output when the pulse sequence of main scanning is performed based on a condition of the main scanning so that cases where the plurality of RF pulses are continuously output are included. The pulse strength acquisition part 66 acquires each measured value of the strength of the plurality of RF pulses transmitted when the pulse sequence is performed. The determination part 68 determines whether or not an RF pulse transmission system is abnormal by comparing each ideal control value of the strength of the plurality of RF pulses with each measured value.
