This invention relates to liquid dietary supplement formulation compositions that provide dietary minerals and additional optional ingredients beneficial for health methods of design and manufacture of such compositions and methods to enable convenient oral ingestion of the formulation ingredients, by adding the formulations to drinking water, beverages, foods, or meals. The formulation compositions of this invention generally include water, water-soluble calcium compound(s), water-soluble magnesium compound(s), and additional optional ingredients, wherein the sum of the concentrations of the calcium and magnesium compounds is most preferably 2 molar or more, up to the point of saturation. The formulations of this invention possess inherent resistance to microbial growth.
