A powder composition is disclosed which enables equal or higher quantities of total fatty acids as saw palmetto oil capsules and comprises standardised minimum quantities of lauric and myristic acid. The composition comprises saw palmetto powder and coconut oil powder, wherein a daily dose provides a minimum of 37.5mg and 16.44mg lauric and myristic acid respectively, and a minimum of 136mg total fatty acids per capsule. Also disclosed is a powder composition comprising saw palmetto powder and coconut oil powder, providing a minimum of 37.5mg and 16.44mg lauric and myristic acid respectively, and less than 136mg total fatty acids per capsule, but where the shortfall, (i.e. where less than 136mg) is made up to 136mg by at least one other plant-based source of fatty acids. The composition may further comprise a source of at least one of vitamin C, beta carotene, zinc and biotin.
