PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbing treatment material and method for producing the same in which the covering part is not easily peeled off or broken.SOLUTION: A water-absorbing treatment material 1 is a water-absorbing treatment material that absorbs liquid, and includes a core part 10, a covering part 20, and a coating part 30. The core part 10 is formed in a granular shape and has a water absorbing property. A covering part 20 is provided so as to cover the core part 10. A coating part 30 is provided so as to enclose the core part 10 and the covering part 20.
