PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer allowing easy fixing without causing a crack, breaking or the like to the spacer installed in a gap part, and to provide a loop wire used for the spacer.SOLUTION: This spacer 1 is installed and fixed in the gap part between a bone and a bone, and includes: a block body 2 installed in the gap part, and having a through-hole 21 penetrating in a direction wherein the bones face to each other and the loop-like loop wire 3 inserted through the through-hole 21. The loop wire 3 includes: a one-end projection part 32 inserted through the through-hole 21 in a state that the loop wire 3 is elongatedly deformed, and projecting from one end of the through-hole 21 and an other-end projection part 33 projecting from the other end of the through-hole 21.
