The present invention relates to novel strains of Lactobacillus helveticus that can produce high amounts of hypotensive peptides, in particular IPP, VPP and LPP. It also relates to a fermented milk product containing a mixture of tripeptides IPP-VPP-LPP and a strain of L. helveticus.
