PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus wherein noise is canceled with high accuracy by reducing noise included in sound received by a microphone.SOLUTION: Recording means of a sound processing part records noise Ngenerated by performing a first pulse sequence PS. Noise reducing means of the sound processing part generates noise N in an opposite phase of the recorded noise Nsynchronizing with the second and following sequences, and adds the noise N in an opposite phase to the noise transmitted to the sound processing part. Accordingly, the noise inputted into a microphone can be reduced and an operator can clearly listen to sound V of a subject.
