An antimicrobial composition, including a synergistic combination of three or more agents as an active ingredient. Each of the three or more potentiating agents can be selected from the following types of compounds: sequestering agents, carbohydrates and carbohydrate derivatives, terpenes/terpenoids, amines and amine derivatives, plant-derived oils, sulfonates, phenols, fatty acids, dibenzofuran derivatives, organo isothiocyanates, quaternary ammonium compounds, peroxides and peroxide donors, and macrolide polyenes. At least two of the three or more potentiating agents are not of the same type of compound. The antimicrobial composition can have strong antimicrobial efficacy in control of microorganisms having resistance to currently used antimicrobials.La présente invention concerne une composition antimicrobienne, comprenant une combinaison synergique de trois ou plus dagents comme ingrédient actif. Chacun des trois ou plus dagents stimulants peut être choisi parmi les types de composés suivants : des agents séquestrants, des hydrates de carbone et des dérivés dhydrates de carbone, des terpènes / terpénoïdes, des amines et des dérivés damines, des huiles dérivées de plantes, des sulfonates, des phénols, des acides gras, des dérivés dibenzofuranes, des isothiocyanates organiques, des composés ammonium quaternaire, des peroxydes et des donneurs de peroxydes, et des polyènes macrolides. Au moins deux parmi les trois ou plus dagents stimulants ne sont pas du même type de composés. La composition antimicrobienne peut avoir une forte efficacité antimicrobienne dans le contrôle de microorganismes développant une résistance aux agents antimicrobiens couramment utilisés.
