Um insbesondere für die Anwendung im Bereich des Sports und der Rehabilitationsmedizin eine neuartige Vorrichtung zum Stabilisieren von Körpersegmenten zu schaffen, die als vorgefertigte Konfektionsware oder auch als halbfertige Maßkonfektion vertrieben werden kann, wird im Rahmen der Erfindung vorgeschlagen, dass mit einer textilen Trägerschicht, welche im Wesentlichen die Form des zu stabilisierenden Körpersegmentes aufweist, ein diese in ihrer Form stabilisierendes Kunststoffelement lösbar verbindbar ist.
