Modified IgG antibodies bind and neutralize selectively and with high affinity and avidity to TGFβ1. A modified IgG antibody comprises four polypeptide chains and can include modifications to the folded region of the polypeptide chain. The modified IgG antibody may comprise the same VH and VL domains or CDR regions as meterimuumab.
