PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operatively connected and lifting/lowering parallel bars easily adjusting the height of horizontal bars.
SOLUTION: The operatively connected and lifting/lowering type parallel bars 1 are formed by disposing horizontal bars 4 and a pair of lifting/lowering type handrails 2 and 2 that have a first support 10 and a second support 20 axially erected at some interval apart from each other and vertically extendable, such that the axes of the horizontal bars 4 and 4 become in parallel to each other, wherein a first wire 30 and a second wire 40, or synchronous mechanisms for synchronizing the vertical extension/contraction of the first support 10 and the second support 20, are laid across the first support 10 and the second support 20 within the horizontal bars 4.
