PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable X-ray apparatus which can prevent unauthorized movement and imaging by an ineligible in manipulation.SOLUTION: The portable X-ray apparatus includes a wagon-driving portion 15 which drives a movable wagon, an input portion 12 which receives input of conditions of at least drive and imaging, a control portion 13 which controls the wagon-driving portion 15 based on the conditions of drive as well as imaging based on the conditions of imaging, and a start-up means 11 which starts power supply to each portion including the control portion 13 and input portion 12. The apparatus further includes a permitting portion 14 which sends permitting signals to the control portion 13 when power is supplied to each portion by manipulation of the start-up means 11 and prescribed authentication information of an operator is input through the input portion 12.
