PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage from both sides of an absorbent article, improve urine absorption performance, and maintain easily a recess-groove shape.SOLUTION: An absorber 4 comprises an absorber penetration part 20 along a longitudinal direction of an incontinence pad 1, and penetrating a thickness direction over a longitudinal direction range including a urine discharge portion H. In a state that a liquid permeable surface sheet 3 is laminated on the absorber 4, embossment is formed along the absorber penetration part 20 from a surface side of the liquid permeable surface sheet 3 to the absorber penetration part 20, thereby a recess-groove 22 in which at least the liquid permeable surface sheet 3 and non-liquid permeable rear surface sheet 2 are integrated on the absorber penetration part 20, is formed along the longitudinal direction. One example of the liquid permeable surface sheet 3 is an embossed sheet formed of plural salient parts 3a having relatively high weight, and recess parts 3b having relatively low weight and surrounding the salient parts 3a.
