PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when automatic light adjustment is employed when an object to be observed has a difference in focal distance by a difference between a projection and a recess or a part, such as white, where luminance becomes high is included in an imaging range (observation visual field range), a part to become reference for light adjustment is not always a part where an observer wants to observe, so that the light is not adjusted to desired brightness.SOLUTION: When an observer moves a mirror body 2, displays a part he or she wants to observe to a monitor, and displays an object 6 to be observed in the center of a display screen, a distance is measured. When an observation distance WD from an objective lens to an interference object is almost equal to a measured distance f, it is determined that it is a part which the observer wants to observe, the observation apparatus adjusts light in accordance with the measured distance f to optimal brightness under which the object to be observed is easy to observe.COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT【課題】観察対象物に凹凸差による焦点距離差がある場合や撮像範囲(観察視野範囲)内に輝度が高くなる白色等の部位が含まれる場合に自動調光を用いると、調光の基準となる部位が観察者が観察したい部位であるとは限らず、所望する明るさには調整されない。
