PURPOSE: An eco-friendly vegetation block and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to smoothly grow plant seeds without a separate management process using a protection steel net. CONSTITUTION: An eco-friendly vegetation block comprises the following: a vegetation mat(200) and a protection steel net(300) located on the front surface(120) of a block main body(100) with an opening for partially burying the left, right, and lower ends of the main body； and a fixing body(320) combined with a radial shape wire, and integrated to the left, right, and lower ends of the main body for fixing the vegetation mat using the protection steel net. Plant seeds are attached to the vegetation mat before weaving the vegetation mat with the protection steel net. The vegetation mat and the protection steel net are inserted into a mold for molding the block main body including a soil filling unit, the front surface, left and right surfaces(130), wing pieces(140), an auxiliary soil filling unit, the rear surface(160), and an insertion protrusion(170).본 발명은 친환경 식생블럭 및 상기 친환경 식생블럭의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.이에 본 발명의 기술적 요지는 절개지 또는 성토지의 보호 및 붕괴방지를 위한 조적식(적층식) 구조의 식생블럭에 있어서, 상기 식생블럭은 하천의 치수, 녹화기능의 생태식생을 확보하기 위한 식생블럭에 관한 것으로, 이러한 식생블럭은 블럭본체의 전방측 면상에 식생매트로부터 부착된 식물 종자가 보호철망을 통해 별도의 관리 없이도 원활하게 자생할 수 있도록 환경을 조성함으로써, 생태환경 및 녹지율이 개선되고 초목환경으로 인한 하천 및 세천의 우수한 자연 경관을 확보할 수 있는 것을 특징으로 한다.
