PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw assembly for the vertebra, capable of holding a bone engagement member at appropriate holding force.SOLUTION: A screw assembly 1 for the vertebra includes: a substantially cylindrical side wall part 21 a pair of insertion parts 22 located at the side wall part 21 and capable of inserting a substantially columnar connecting member 5 in a radial direction A of the side wall part 21 a housing member 2 having a first opening part 23 opened to one end 21a side of the side wall part 21 and a second opening part 24 opened to the other end 21b side of the side wall part 21 a bone engagement member 3 having a head 31 and a screw 32 and a head holding member 4 stored in the first opening part 23 side in the housing member 2, while it is holding the head 3.
