PURPOSE: A composition for suppressing UV-induced apoptosis of human skin cells is provided to show a photoprotective effect and to remove intracellular reactive oxygen species using a Bonnemaisonia hamifera extract, thereby reducing UV-induced apoptosis and recovering cell survival ability. CONSTITUTION: A composition for suppressing UV-induced apoptosis of human skin cells contains 25-200 ug/ml of a Bonnemaisonia hamifera extract as an active ingredient. The extract is an alcohol extract. A composition for suppressing UV-induced skin damage or for skin therapy contains the alcohol extract as an active ingredient.본 발명은 참갈고리풀(Bonnemaisonia hamifera)의 추출물을 포함하는 자외선에 의한 인간 피부각질세포의 세포사멸 억제용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 참갈고리풀의 추출물이 인간 HaCaT 피부각질세포에서 UV 유발 세포 손상에 대한 광보호 효과, 과산화수소와 UV에 의해 유도된 세포내 활성산소종에 대한 소거 활성을 나타냄으로써 자외선 유도 세포사멸을 감소하고, 세포 생존력을 회복시킨다.
