The invention relates to a device suitable for influencing the intake of food through the oral cavity of a human, comprising anchoring means which can be applied to one or several teeth of both the upper and the lower jaw, and at least one elongated element that can be placed around the front of the upper or lower jaw. The device according to the invention is characterized in that said elongated element is fixedly connected by its two element ends to the anchoring means present on the respective other jaw. This renders possible a simple placement in the mouth without the necessity of complicated dental treatments which are unpleasant (painful) for a patient. In addition, a direct coupling between the two jaws is achieved, wherein the movement of the jaws away from one another can be accurately adjusted on the basis of the physiological build of the mouth as well as of the desired food therapy to be followed.Linvention concerne un dispositif conçu pour influencer labsorption de nourriture par la cavité buccale dun être humain, comprenant un moyen dancrage qui peut être appliqué à une ou plusieurs dents ou à la fois à la mâchoire supérieure et à la mâchoire inférieure, et au moins un élément allongé qui peut être placé autour de la partie avant de la mâchoire supérieure ou inférieure. Le dispositif selon linvention est caractérisé en ce que lélément allongé est raccordé de manière fixe par ses deux extrémités délément au moyen dancrage présent sur lautre mâchoire respective. Ceci rend possible une simple mise en place dans la bouche sans nécessiter de traitements dentaires compliqués qui sont désagréables (douloureux) pour un patient. De plus, un accouplement direct entre les deux mâchoires est atteint, où le mouvement décartement des mâchoires lune de lautre peut être réglé avec précision sur la base de la constitution physiologique de la bouche ainsi que de la thérapie alimentaire à suivre.
