The invention relates to a system (1) for spinal cord stimulation (SCS), comprising a stimulation device (100) having a plurality of electrodes (101), wherein the stimulation device (100) is configured to deliver spinal cord stimulation via said electrodes (101) according to a set (P, P) of stimulation parameters, wherein the stimulation device (100) is further configured to store a plurality of different sets (P, P) of stimulation parameters, and wherein the stimulation device (100) is further configured to select one of said stored sets (P, P) and to deliver spinal cord stimulation according to this selected set, when the stimulation device (100) or a component (200) of the system (1) is located in proximity to an external activator (300) associated to said selected set.
