One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a method for modulating uterine function in a mammal. One step of the method includes placing a therapy delivery device into direct contact with a spinal cord target associated with uterine function. Next, the therapy delivery device is activated to deliver a therapy signal to the spinal cord target in an amount and for a time sufficient to effect a change in sympathetic and/or parasympathetic activity in the mammal and thereby modulate uterine function.
