PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article for women, excellent in fitness to their bodies and in side sheet standing-up properties, and preventing the leaking down of body fluid from the rear of the article.SOLUTION: An absorbent body 10 includes first and second folding lines 11, 12 that extend in the width direction Y. An absorbent material 4 has a middle high part 42 uplifted on the side opposite the skin between the first and second folding lines 11 and 12. The inner edge 51 of a side sheet 5 is fixed at the surface sheet 2 to form a front fixation part 55 ahead of the first folding line 11, while a rear fixation part 56 is formed in the similar manner at a position rearward from the second folding line 12. The separation length L1 between the first folding line 11 and the front fixation part 55 is 10 to 25 mm, and is shorter than the separation length L2 between the second folding line 12 and the rear fixation part 56. The separation length L2 amounts to 35% or larger than the separation length L3 between the second folding line 12 and the rear end 10b of the absorbent body 10.
