Adjustable chassis system for a machine for topping vines planted on a hillside and exhibiting a difference in level of one row with respect to the next
System for topping vines, in which the panels (1 and 2) supporting the cutting blades (3) can operate at different heights depending on the inclination of the ground. These panels are connected to the chassis of the topping machine (4) by a swinging arm (5) articulated by three spindles (6). Under the swinging arm, an arm (7) articulated by two spindles (8) connects the left-hand panel to the chassis. Another arm (9) also mounted on two spindles (10) connects the right-hand panel to the chassis. A hydraulic thrust cylinder (11) is fixed to the chassis (4). The moving part of the thrust cylinder (12) is connected to the side of the swinging arm by a spindle. This allows the driver of the tractor on which the topping machine is mounted to set the panels (1 and 2) to different heights by virtue of the dual-acting thrust cylinder.
