There is provided a composition suitable for use as poultry bedding based on wood shavings and sphagnum. The flow-flowing characteristic of the composition renders it very easy to apply and distribute on the floor of the stall. Moreover, the composition is easy to turn around and mix for the farmer. The composition exhibits effective absorption of ammonia for a complete production cycle for commercial poultry operations. A major effect of using the present composition is that foot burns and feet blisters of poultry observed with conventional bedding can essentially be avoided.L'invention concerne une composition appropriée pour l'utilisation comme litière de volaille à base de copeaux de bois et de sphaigne. L'écoulement et la caractéristique d'écoulement de la composition la rendent très facile à appliquer et distribuer sur le sol du poulailler. De plus, la composition est facile à retourner et à mélanger pour le fermier. La composition présente une absorption efficace de l'ammoniac pour un cycle de production complet pour des opérations volaillères commerciales. Un effet important de l'utilisation de la présente composition est que l'on peut essentiellement éviter les dermatites de la pelote plantaire et les cloques sur les pattes des volailles observées avec une litière classique.
