PURPOSE: A power transferring apparatus of a grass cutter is provided to increase the durability of a driving source and a battery by preventing overload from applying to the driving source to the battery. CONSTITUTION: A power transferring apparatus of a grass cutter includes a driving gear(18), a driven shaft(22), a fixing pin(26), and a driven gear(30). The driving gear rotates on the basis of the driving shaft of a driving source installed at a main body housing. The driven shaft is rotatably installed at the main body housing and includes a cutting blade. The fixing pin is arranged at the driven shaft. The driven gear moves to the longitudinal direction of the driven shaft and is rotatably installed at the driven shaft. An interlocking cam is arranged at one side of the driven gear, and the fixing pin is arranged at a cam groove in the interlocking cam. The driven gear moves by an elastic member.본 발명은 예초기의 동력전달장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서는 잡초나 잔디의 절단을 위한 절단날(24)에 돌, 지면, 굵은 나뭇가지 등이 걸려 부하가 작용하더라도 상기 절단날(24)을 회전시키는 구동력을 제공하는 구동원(14)에는 부하가 작용하지 않도록 한다. 이를 위해 상기 절단날(24)이 설치되는 종동축(22)에 종동기어(30)가 일정 거리 종동축(22)의 길이방향으로 이동되게 설치되고 상기 종동기어(30)는 탄성부재(28)에 의해 상기 종동축(22)에 고정된 고정핀(26) 방향으로 밀려진다. 상기 종동기어(30)의 일측 표면에는 상기 고정핀(26)이 선택적으로 안착되는 캠홈(34)이 구비됨 연동캠(32)이 형성된다. 상기 연동캠(32)은 상기 캠홈(34)을 제외한 부분이 평면으로 형성된다. 이와 같은 본 발명에 의하면 절단날(24)에 부하가 작용하더라도, 구동원(14)은 계속적으로 동작될 수 있어, 구동원(14)이나 이에 전원을 공급하는 배터리에 무리한 힘이 가해지지 않게 되어 구동원(14)과 배터리의 내구성이 좋아지는 이점이 있다.
