PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic composition which can ensure an excellent moisture-retaining effect based on the compounding of a cationized hyaluronic acid or its analogue, and the like, and can simultaneously prevent the generation of the hair bundle touch of hair, when the hyaluronic acid compound is compounded to give a characteristic finish.SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic composition is characterized by containing the following components (A) and (B). (A) A cationized hyaluronic acid prepared by modifying the carboxy groups of glucuronic acids composing the hyaluronic acid with a specific quaternary ammonium-containing modifying group, or an analogue whose functional groups form salts or are modified.
