PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermometer the power switch button of which can be easily operated by a user and which can improve operability.SOLUTION: A thermometer 1 includes a casing 2, and a power switch button 5 which is located in distal end 12 of the casing 2 and can be pressably operated. The power switch button 5 has a surface section 20 for pressing a finger F against it. The whole of the surface section 20 is located in distal end 12 of casing 2 so as to protrude from distal end 12 of casing 2.
