PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfecting device for a seed, properly disinfecting the seeds.SOLUTION: In this seed rice disinfecting device 10, seed rice 16 flowing down from the lower end of a supply hopper 24 freely falls in an exposure chamber 30, and steam is introduced to the exposure chamber 30, so that the freely falling seed rice 16 is exposed to the steam in the exposure chamber 30, and the seed rice 16 is disinfected. Therefor, all the surfaces of the seed rice 16 can be exposed to the steam to be heated, it can be suppressed that a part of the surfaces of the seed rice 16 are heated by heat transfer from an inner pipe 28, all the surfaces of the seed rice 16 can be uniformly heated, and the seed rice 16 can be properly disinfected.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】種子を適切に消毒する。【解決手段】種籾消毒装置10では、蒸気処理部26において、供給ホッパ24の下端から流下された種籾16が曝露室30を自由落下されると共に、曝露室30に蒸気が導入されることで、曝露室30において、自由落下される種籾16に蒸気が曝露されて、種籾16が消毒される。このため、種籾16の全面を蒸気に曝露できて加熱できると共に、種籾16の表面の一部が内パイプ28からの伝熱により加熱されることを抑制できて、種籾16の全面を均一に加熱でき、種籾16を適切に消毒できる。【選択図】図1
