PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article easily fitted to the body to reduce an uncomfortable feeling while reliably preventing a side leakage that runs on the surface of the absorbent article and making a side leakage preventing effect externally visible.SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin 1 includes an absorber 4 interposed between a liquid permeable front sheet 3 and a liquid impermeable rear sheet 2, and side nonwoven fabrics 7, 7 disposed on each side part of a front face along a longitudinal direction. A side region of each side nonwoven fabric 7 corresponding to at least a blood outlet H is provided with an emboss 20 of a complex waveform line substantially formed by superimposing a substantially simple harmonic waveform of a short period on a substantially simple harmonic waveform of a long period, along the substantially longitudinal direction of the sanitary napkin 1. Substantially simple harmonic waveform components of the long period are arranged to project inward, and substantially simple harmonic waveform components of the short period are arranged on the inside to project outward at the top parts of projections.
