An egg processing system is provided. Such a system includes a reference platform having a plurality of reference openings defined therein. Each reference opening is adapted to receive a bird egg therein from the bottom surface of the reference table. A plurality of egg holders are provided for supporting the eggs, each egg holder being configured to lift the egg towards the respective reference opening. The plurality of egg orientation accommodating portions extend from the bottom surface of the reference table. Each egg orientation receptacle is associated with a respective reference opening to interact and direct the egg as the egg moves toward the reference platform.
