A process for the preparation of a covered core microcapsule, said process comprising the steps of: 1) preparing an oligomeric composition comprising the reaction product of, or obtainable by the joint reaction of: a) a polyamine component in form of melamine or a mixture of melamine and at least one C1-4 compound comprising two NH2 functional groups； b) an aldehyde component in the form of a mixture of glyoxal, a C4-6 2,2-dialkoxy-ethanal and optionally a glyoxalate, said mixture having a glyoxal / 2,2-dialkoxy-ethanal C4-6 molar ratio between 1/1 and 10/1； and c) a protic acid catalyst； 2) preparing an oil-in-water dispersion, in which the droplet size is between 1 and 600 μm, and comprising: i) an oil； ii) an aqueous medium； iii) at least one oligomeric composition as obtained in step 1)； iv) at least one crosslinker selected from: A) C4-C12 aromatic or aliphatic di- or tri-isocyanates and their biurets, triurets, trimers and trimethylol propane adduct； and / or B) di- or tri-oxirane compounds of the formula A- (oxyran-2-ylmethyl) n in which n means 2 or 3 and A represents a C2-C6 group optionally comprising 2 to 6 nitrogen atoms and / or oxygen； v) optionally a C1-4 compound comprising two NH2 functional groups； 3) heating said dispersion； 4) cooling said dispersion； and 5) optionally drying the final dispersion to obtain the dry coated core microcapsule.Un procedimiento para la preparación de una microcápsula de núcleo cubierta, comprendiendo dicho procedimiento las etapas de: 1) preparar una composición oligomérica que comprende el producto de reacción de, u obtenible por la reacción en conjunto de: a) un componente de poliamina en forma de melamina o de una mezcla de melamina y al menos un compuesto C1-4 que comprende dos grupos funcionales NH2； b) un componente aldehído en forma de una mezcla de glioxal, un 2,2-dialcoxi-etanal C4-6 y opcionalmente un glioxalato, teniendo dicha mezcla una relación molar de glioxal/2,2-dialcoxi-etanal C4-6 comprendida entre 1/
