The present invention relates to a separation and purification method of catechins contained in an extract of tea leaves and, more specifically, to a separation and purification method of catechins contained in tea leaves, which comprises the steps of: obtaining an extract of tea leaves； obtaining a fraction comprising catechins and concentrating the same by using ethyl acetate and dichloromethane and utilizing liquid-liquid partition of the extract； and collecting the fraction of the concentrated catechins with respect to the polarity of various catechins by controlling the polarity of eluate in a stepwise manner.본 발명은 차 잎 추출물에 함유된 카테킨류의 분리정제 방법에 관한 것이다. 더욱 상세하게는 차 잎 추출물을 획득하는 단계； 상기 추출물을 에틸아세테이트 및 디클로로메탄을 이용하여 액-액 분배하여 카테킨류를 포함하는 분획물을 획득하고 농축하는 단계； 및 농축된 카테킨류 분획물을 단계적으로(stepwise) 용출액의 극성을 조절하여 다양한 카테킨류를 극성에 따라 회수하는 단계；를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 차 잎에 함유된 카테킨류의 분리정제 방법에 관한 것이다.
