The invention provides a hydrophobic polymer compound capable of inhibiting a blood coagulation response both at the primary hemostasis stage, where platelets are involved, and at the coagulation thrombosis formation stage, where blood coagulation factors are involved, and whereby firm fixation is possible in a state where anti-blood clotting activity is retained on the surface of a medical device or medical material. The invention provides a hydrophobic compound to which a polymer compound for inhibiting the adhesion of platelets and a compound for inhibiting the coagulation response have been bonded.
