PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring a walking-type rice transplanter equipped with a lateral seedling-transfer mechanism installed to the front machine body side of a seedling tray and a longitudinal seedling-transfer mechanism installed to the back face side of the seedling tray to be able to transmit the drive power from the lateral seedling-transfer mechanism to the longitudinal seedling-transfer mechanism with reducing generation of mud adhesion to an interlocking means between the lateral seedling-transfer mechanism and the longitudinal seedling-transfer mechanism and misdriving of the seedling-transfer mechanisms.SOLUTION: A power take-off unit 60 for taking out the drive power of a lateral seedling transfer shaft 42 as a longitudinal seedling-transfer power depending on reaching of the seedling tray 21 to lateral transfer stroke ends is installed to the lateral seedling transfer mechanism 40. An interlocking rod 70 in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle body connected to the output body 61 of the power take-off unit 60 and the input body 55 of the longitudinal seedling transfer mechanism 50 is installed.
