PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of improving image quality in consideration of an infrared light component.SOLUTION: An endoscope comprises: a body on which a user can grip； a four-color separation prism 20 including a blue separation prism 221, a red separation prism 222, and a green separation prism 223 for separating light from an affected part into a blue component, a red component, and a green component respectively, and an IR separation prism 220 for separating the light from the affected part into an IR component； a blue image sensor 231 installed in the blue separation prism 221 for converting the separated blue component into an electric signal； a red image sensor 232 installed in the red separation prism 222 for converting the separated red component into an electric signal； a green image sensor 233 installed in the green separation prism 223 for converting the separated green component into an electric signal； and an IR image sensor 230 installed in the IR separation prism 220 for converting the separated IR component into an electric signal.
