The present invention relates to combinations of anti-C5 antibodies and antigen-binding fragments thereof that have been determined to exhibit relatively better activity than those of a single anti-C5 antibody or fragment. The combination includes anti-C5 antibodies and antigen-binding fragments that do not compete with each other for C5 binding. Bispecific antibodies are also provided comprising antigen-binding domains that do not compete and/or do not bind to the same epitope on C5.
