To provide a joint assist device which uses a noncontact POWER transmitter that efficiently removes HEAT due to POWER feed.
SOLUTION: The joint assist device S includes: a noncontact POWER transmitting section 30 having a POWER source 20, a driving mechanism portion 3 attached to the joint of a user, a POWER supply portion 35 supplying POWER from the POWER source 20 by noncontact electromagnetic induction and a POWER receiving portion 45 receiving the supplied POWER a driving section 10 for moving the driving mechanism portion 3 using the POWER received by the POWER receiving portion 45 and a control section 60 for controlling movement of the driving section 10 ON the basis of an idling leg period and a standing leg period of a walking pattern of a user. The joint assist device S further includes cooling means 80 that cools HEAT generated from the POWER supply portion 35 by contacting a HEAT transmitting body 82 having inside a passage for circulating cooling water by driving of a pump 83 with the POWER supply portion 35. The control section 60 drives the pump 83 while the driving section is controlled during a standing leg period.
