Liposome compositions comprising peptide epoxyketone compounds and methods for making and using such liposome compositions are described. These liposomal compositions have improved in vivo half-life and provide the desired pharmacodynamic profile compared to non-liposomal compositions comprising peptide epoxyketone compounds, and in peptide tumor xenograft models, peptide epoxyketone compounds The therapeutic area of the peptide epoxyketone compound is improved by providing an antitumor activity higher than that of the non-liposome composition containing the compound. Furthermore, experiments conducted to support the present invention have shown improved tolerability of liposome compositions containing peptide epoxyketone compounds.
