PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer which controls the photolysis with lapse of time or the like of hydroquinone, astaxanthins, ubiquinone, and retinols blended with an external preparation for skin or the like, as an active ingredient, and can make these compounds stably exist over a long period of time in a formulation such as an external preparation for skin or the like, and to provide the external preparation for skin using the same.
SOLUTION: The stabilizer, that is, hydroquinone, astaxanthins, ubiquinone and retinols comprise fullerenes as an effective ingredient.
