PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roaster from which a roasted object can easily be taken out and which can easily maintain the inside of a drum.
SOLUTION: The roaster for rotating the drum with a drum-rotating means 5 and simultaneously heating the material to roast the roasted object 9 includes the drum 1 having many holes in a cylindrical circumferential surface and disposed in a horizontal state, an electric heater 2 disposed along an axis of the drum, a reflection plate disposed to cover the whole circumferential surface or the circumferential surface of the drum, excluding the lower portion, and a heat-insulating cover 3. The roaster has a door portion 4 capable of opening or closing the front portion and/or the lower potion of the drum 1 or capable of being separated or connected. When a door portion 7 is not provided in the lower part, a roasted object-takeout portion 8 dividing or separating the drum from the drum and capable of being pulled out from the front door portion (opened portion) 4 of the drum is disposed in the lower part of the drum.
