The invention relates to a dry powder inhaler (10) with a main housing (14), with a capsule holder (26) for a capsule of dry powder, with at least one needle-like or blade-like opening means (40) that is movable relative to the main housing and is used to open the capsule, and with a mouthpiece (18) through which the dry powder can be inhaled from an opened capsule. The invention is characterized in that the opening means is secured on the mouthpiece, and in that the mouthpiece can be moved, relative to the main housing, from a normal position to a position that opens the capsule.
