The invention relates to a dry powder inhaler (10) with a main housing (14), witha capsule holder (26) for a capsule of dry powder, with at least one needle-likeor blade-like opening means (40) that is movable relative to the main housingand is used to open the capsule, and with a mouthpiece (18) through which the drypowder can be inhaled from an opened capsule. The invention is characterizedin that the opening means is secured on the mouthpiece, and in that the mouthpiececan be moved, relative to the main housing, from a normal position to a positionthat opens the capsule.
