The optical waveguide is configuredto transmit the pulsed laser radiation from the source of pulsed laserradiation, and is coupleable to the source of pulsed laser radiation ata proximal end of the optical waveguide to receive the pulsed laserradiation from the source of pulsed laser radiation The apparatus alsoincludes a driving mechanism coupled to the optical waveguide forcontrollably changing the position of the optical waveguide relative toa distal end of the housing.
