PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing an absorbent article, excellent in work efficiency and allows an operator to easily and quickly perform works such as an operation or maintenance.SOLUTION: An apparatus 10 for manufacturing an absorbent article comprises: a main unit part 20 including a plurality of processing units 21 to 24 and performing a plurality of steps to manufacture an absorbent article； and a sub-unit part 30 including processing units 31 and 32 and preparing absorbent article constituting members for use in the main unit part 20. The two unit parts 20 and 30 are divided into one side and the other side with a passage part 40 between them, the passage part 40 extending in a machine direction MD and allowing a person to pass through the passage part. The road surface 40a of the passage part 40 is positioned over the mounting face of the manufacturing apparatus 10, and is formed with a road surface lower space 40S defined by the road surface 40a and the mounting face. The absorbent article constituting member thus prepared by the sub-unit part 30 can move via the road surface lower space 40S to the main unit part 20.
