The use as a fragrance of a compound of formula (I) is provided wherein R1 and R2 are independently selected from hydrogen, methyl and ethyl； and R3 is methyl, ethyl or methylene. A fragrance application comprising as an odorant a compound of formula (I) as defined or a mixture thereof, and a consumer product base, wherein the consumer product base is preferably selected from fine fragrances, household products, laundry products, body care products, cosmetic and air care products, is outlined. A compound of formula (I) wherein R1 and R2 are independently selected from hydrogen, methyl and ethyl； and R3 is methyl, ethyl or methylene, is provided, with the proviso that (1) R1 is methyl and R2 is ethyl when R3 is methyl； (2) R3 is not methylene when R1 is hydrogen and R2 is methyl.
