PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin intravascular occluding device in order to medically treat an atrium septum defect and a ventricular septum defect (respectively ASD and VSD).SOLUTION: A medical device 10 for occluding a lesion in the human body has internal metal fiber layers 22 and 24 and an external metal fiber layer 20 respectively consisting of a plurality of metal braided strands. The metal braided strands which form each of the internal and external metal fiber layers have an expanded pre-established shape, and the distal ends and the proximal ends of the metal braided strands which form each of the metal fiber layers are fixed to each other by a fixing means. The medical device can be delivered by a delivering catheter by the deformation of the pre-established shape into a small cross sectional dimension.
