PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular excrement-treating material which absorbs discharged urine, causes no change in color in comparison with the granular excrement-treating material without absorbing the discharged urine, and further causes no change in odor, and to provide a method for producing the same.
SOLUTION: There are provided the granular excrement-treating material which is a dried coated granular material including: a granular core part containing waste powder, and a smaller amount of a coloring material than that of the waste powder, and having a grain size of not less than 1 mm and a coating layer part coating at least a part of the surface of the granular core part, and containing powder of an organic material, a smaller amount of a water-absorbing resin than that of the powder of the organic material, a coloring material in a hue of the same color, of the same color system or dark color system as compared with the coloring material in the granular core part, and an adhesive and further the method for producing the granular excrement-treating material. Furthermore, the granular excrement-treating material utilizes the waste, causes no change in color after use in comparison with that before use, keeps environments for rearing animals clean, and allows the use for excretion of a plurality of times.
