The present invention relates generally to rotary imaging apparatus and methods of use thereof with a monolithic shaft. In one aspect, the apparatus includes a rotatable monolithic hollow elongated shaft. The rotatable driving member is disposed in the shaft, the rotatable elongated electric signal transmission member is disposed within the drive member. The apparatus further includes an imaging device, the shaft, the driving member and the signal transmission member is coupled to the imaging device. The apparatus further comprises a cleaning port operatively coupled to the shaft.
