Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von biodegradierbaren Fasern basierend auf einer Silanverbindung, wobei während der Herstellung eine Vernetzung der Silanverbindung erfolgt und zumindest ein Teil einer organischen Säure über kovalente Bindungen in das entstehende Netzwerk eingebaut wird und/oder zur Vernetzung beiträgt.
