The present invention relates to a composition including naphthyl-1,3-benzenediol derivative as an active ingredient for preventing or treating multiple myeloma. When multiple myeloma cells are killed, the naphthyl-1,3-benzenediol derivative passes mitochondria and is closely related to an increase in active oxygen in mitochondria. An AKT signal which is a cell survival signal is controlled, and a good effect in killing multiple myeloma cells is exhibited, so the composition can be usefully used as a pharmaceutical agent for treating multiple myeloma or a health food for preventing multiple myeloma.본 발명은 나프틸-1,3-벤젠디올 유도체를 유효성분으로 포함하는 다발성 골수종 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 상기 나프틸-1,3-벤젠디올 유도체는다발성 골수종 세포 사멸에 있어서 미토콘드리아를 경유하고 미토콘드리아 내 활성산소 증가와 밀접한 관련이 있으며, 세포생존 신호인 AKT 신호를 억제함으로써 다발성 골수종 세포를 사멸시키는데 탁월한 효과를 나타내므로, 다발성 골수종 치료용 약제 또는 다발성 골수종 예방용 건강식품으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
