The present invention relates to an automatic seedling planting method and an automatic seedling planting apparatus. In particular, seedlings are grown inside a cylindrical tube to form a seedling tube, and by loading a large quantity of such seedling tubes and moving the same by means of remote control, the seedling tubes are automatically planted in the ground. The automatic seedling planting apparatus of the present invention comprises: a moving body (100) which includes a propulsion system and a traveling device, and is remotely controlled by means of wireless control a seedling tube supply unit (200) which is installed at an upper part of the moving body to load and align a plurality of seedling tubes (A) at a uniform interval, and intermittently transport and supply the same to a uniform position and a seedling planting unit (300) which picks up the seedling tubes supplied from the seedling tube supply unit one by one to plant the same in the ground at a predetermined depth. The automatic seedling planting method of the present invention is configured to use the automatic seedling planting apparatus of the present invention to load a large quantity of seedling tubes and automatically plant the same in the ground by moving the apparatus by means of remote control. According to the present invention, since a large quantity of seedlings can be efficiently transported and automatically planted, the efficiency and productivity of a seedling planting operation can be dramatically improved.
